All 3 steps must be taken. The test at the end of each of the three courses must be passed with a score of 90% or better to obtain credit and approval. |

Licensed contractors interested in participating in the My Safe Florida Home program can now complete the required training at no charge through this website. Before you get started, you should be prepared to enter your name and license number.
All contractors must take the course under Step 2. You must also complete one or more of the following courses under Step 3:
1) Strengthening Roofs
2) Protecting Openings (Windows, Doors and Garage Doors)
3) Bracing Gable Ends.
At the end of each online training course, you will need to complete a short quiz. You must receive at least a 90% grade on the quiz in order to successfully complete the course. If you receive less than 90%, you can immediately retake the quiz OR review the training material and take it at a later time.
Once you have successfully completed the online class, an email notification will be sent to the My Safe Florida Home program confirming your completion of the training.
If you would like to complete all three courses, you will need to return to this page before choosing another training course. You will be given a link to return to this page after completing each course. We look forward to your participation in the My Safe Florida Home program!

Remember, completing the training course is just one of a few steps to becoming a participating contractor with the My Safe Florida Home program. Listed below are all of the steps that must be done before getting approved:
1. You must sign up to participate in the My Safe Florida Home program.
Log on to My Safe Florida Home Web site – www.mysafefloridahome.com
Click on “For Contractors” button and select “sign up to participate.”
Review, complete and submit the online application. (All questions must be answered.)
2. You will need to provide information about the workers’ compensation insurance coverage applicable to the contracting company (this could be an insurance policy, exemption certificates, an employee leasing arrangement, or a combination of these).
3.You will need to take the required training. You can accomplish it through our online program or by attending an in-person class provided by FLASH. For more information on in-person training, visit www.mysafefloridahome.com.
